please remove 1 star rating...

by Project Owner on Wednesday, February 13, 2019

Once a design receives a rating, it can not be unrated. The number of stars can only be increased or reduced. I will issue a feature request to DC to make unrating possible in your behalf.
I will delete your designs. Maybe that will help.

Feedback from DC regarding the matter of rating:
"As a the project owner, please feel free to give [the designers] feedback and star rating as you deemed fit. You need to be active in giving feedback to get better results and that is by giving star rating and by eliminating designs. Same principle apply to our designers that they have the liberty to work on projects that they find interesting. For all contest projects, designers are free to participate. Star rating is computed by the number of star ratings received over the total number of submissions. It is better to eliminate a design since this will not be factored in. However, most clients find it easier to manage projects by giving star rating. Feel free to do what you are most convenient with. I agree that this is a tough business, we are using a crowdsourcing platform thus designers need to comply with customer’s design requirements and throw in their ideas. They need to be good to win."

Based on this feedback, I will eliminate all designs that would not receive 3 stars or better. Poor designs will not be rated unless they blatantly ignore our specifications.

Please extend the deadline.

by Project Owner on Sunday, February 17, 2019

We have already extended the deadline once and each further extension will be an expense to us. As we have been very disappointed with the entries so far, we are very reluctant to continue this project.

If you can submit a rough draft (which I promise not rate) within the next three hours, maybe that would convince us to extend.

by Project Owner on Sunday, February 17, 2019

The deadline has been extended for 5 days. This will be the last deadline extension.

Tip: Don't invest a lot of time on a design we may not like! We want to see your creative ideas and a little bit of your talent so that we can determine whether we can work together with you on expanding and improving on your idea for a logo! You can submit a rough draft, a blueprint, a drawing, a sketch (don't worry, we won't rate these!) and we will give you feedback. If we like your idea, we will ask you to submit a digital rendering that demonstrates your ability and how well we can work together using DesignCrowd.

We are mostly interested in a combination mark - a logo comprised of a combined wordmark (the band's full name) and a pictorial mark or abstract mark. The picture and text can be side-by-side, stacked on top of each other, or integrated together to create the logo.

Additional feedback from DC on rating designers:
"It is okay to rate the design if you think the designs are poor and not of quality standard. You’re actually helping us to filter those designers who are not submitting quality designs so that we can remind them our terms and agreements.

We would like our clients to receive the designs they like and in high quality. If we will not monitor our designers and if clients don’t rate their designs, it will be bad for the business and we might lose customers because of this."

Four more days! We hope to have a winner!
