Logo Design Brief
(See appendix for German description) Munich disturbance of the peace * is a Munich-based samba group that combines the fun and enthusiasm of making percussive music with political engagement. The group's logo is no longer in a relationship with the times and has no real recognizable relation to the band or its name, so changing the logo has become necessary and inevitable. We are interested in a combination mark - a logo of a combined wordmark and a pictorial mark or abstract mark. The picture and text can be side-by-side, stacked on top of each other, or integrated together to create the logo. Percussion music (for example, drums, sticks, sound, beat, groove, movement, dance) with the meaning of the band's name ("disturbance of the peace in Munich") ) in an amusing but so serious way. (see Files section below for examples!) Tip: Do not invest a lot of time on a design we may not like! We are looking forward to your creative ideas and a little bit of your talent. You can submit a rough draft, a blueprint, a drawing, a sketch, and we will give you feedback. If we like your idea, we will ask you to submit a digital rendering that demonstrates your ability and how well we can work together using DesignCrowd.

We hope you are looking for a better idea of what we are looking for in a logo. Please feel free to ask any questions if something is unclear. We want to make you constructive feedback and we realize this is a tough assignment. Requirements
Must have
- (Details in attachment Logo-Requirements!) A) must be recognizable and usable in different sizes for drum decoration, t-shirts, flyers, business cards, letterhead, website, posters and banners (large format); b) should suggest what the Munich peace disorder is or what it does, so that potential interested parties (client or band member applicants) can relate to the design of the type and spirit of the band; c) may (but need not) be a combination of typography and abstract forms; d) may express sound (music, percussion, drums), movement, joy, dynamics, playfulness, fun; e) should be memorable and unique (for example, easily recognizable on a poster with other logos); f) should look good in monochrome scale (for example, grayscale). Since the band name causes smiles and laughter, the logo should complement this effect! Key color properties: energetic, dynamic, playful, joyous, humorous
Nice to have
- (Details in attachment Logo Requirements!) We imagine a multicolored logo that brings together some elements of (samba) percussion music (for example, drums, sticks, sound, beat, groove, movement, dance) with the meaning of the bands name ("Disturbance of the peace in Munich") in an amusing but also serious way.
Should not have
- We do not want the word "Munich" larger than the word "disturbance of the peace". This emphasizes the wrong word! No musical notes or notation! Simplistic clipart is also not desired.
