Scales & Tails Exotic Pets Logo Design

This is what Scales & Tails Exotic Pets was looking for in their logo design

I need help with a logo for a new pet shop please. The primary market are (potential) owners of reptiles, amphibians, and fish. Plants are also an important aspect. I feel the color green is important to incorporate but I would like other colors in there as well. I would like a family friendly and inviting logo that is interest grabbing but also clearly portrays my market aim. An animated look is fine but I'm not a huge fan of overbearing caricature or a hand drawn look (as the final product). I would like something that is relatively easy to put on stationary, cards, etc. as well.
