Logo for an over 50s association

This is what active over 50s (may be combined with ARPA) was looking for in their logo design

The Australian Retired Persons Association (SA) Inc is thirty years old. It needs to revitalise its image to attract those that may never 'retire' from some form of work. We would like to incorporatethe words - 'active over 50s' into a logo.
A new eye-catching logo is just one step in the process of changing the image of the Association. ACTIVE has been used as much is said about using it or losing it, so we wish to give ourselves the image of active mind, active body and active social life (friendship). This also fits nicely into the government's policy of keeping older persons active and healthy.
The logo has to be appealing (and informative) to the over 50 demographic and it will be used widely on letterheads, promotional material and a new website. (www.arpasa.asn.au if you wish to look at the present site)
The ARPA colour has been green but this is not essential. More details in attached file. Read more
