Logo Design Brief
I require a logo design for a specialist sandwich store business. The target market is adults between the ages of 16 and 45. Although I do anticipate there will be a small proportion of slightly older customers too.
My intention is for the business to open several small sandwich stores in the United Kingdom and then if it proves successful, to expand further! However the branding must give the impression of a national brand with a chain of stores. In fact, it is crucial that the logo instantly gives the impression that this is a large national corporation in the specialist sandwich market / speciality fast food market (however it shouldn’t look like a tacky burger chain). And the worst case scenario is that it looks like a small independent local sandwich store, run by the owner.
The type of food we will be selling is specialist sandwiches – very similar to Subway and Greggs. In fact my main competitors will be Subway (www.subway.co.uk) and Greggs (www.greggs.co.uk).
My brand name is: Rusty’s
My slogan is: Good fresh food
Naturally the logo should look good on a white background i.e. on letterheads, business cards etc. However, it’s considerably more important that it looks good on the store-front signage which will be a solid background colour(s)… to be chosen by you! A typical sign on the front of a store will be 6 metres wide by 1 metre high.
Whilst I’m open to styles and colours, I think the logo should not be tacky / cheesy. And at the other end of the scale it should not be trying to go for an upmarket feel either. The product we will sell will be good quality at a good price. I’d like the logo to be fresh and modern. The choice of colours you choose is extremely important and I am very interested to see which colours you go with. I also have no preference in relation to uppercase or lowercase wording.
I look forward to receiving some phenomenal designs for my logo based on the above brief.
It would be great if the logo could be supplied vectorised - but it’s not a requirement as an awesome design is the most important thing.
Updates
Hi Everyone,
Please do not incorporate illustrations of food in the designs.
Also when thinking of your designs - please bear in mind I'm wanting to give the impression of a national/international brand like Subway - so the style of the design is very important to me as it needs to look 'international'.
Many thanks

I now feel that it would be better if a handwritten style of font is not used. I want a modern feel so ideally I'd prefer it to be a simple font. I'm targeting a relatively young and cool customer so I'm looking for 'cool' and not 'quirky' / 'funny'.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I'm extending the deadline because due to work commitments I've struggled to find sufficient time to give feedback to designers.
