Book Cover Design Brief
I need a book cover for a novel (print + ebook). Genre = thriller / romance. Title = Three of Clubs. Author = Brett Marsh.
Story is set in Caribbean. 45-year-old Ex-DEA agent is hunted by corrupt politicians, DEA and cartel. He is a life-long fisherman and seaman who joined the Army after college and became a war hero, followed by 10 years as operative for the DEA. Betrayal from Washington saw him accused of killing his mentor/friend/DEA Director and he is now a fugitive. He has been hiding for 7 years on Grand Cayman, and lives a secluded, private life as a fisherman on his modern sportfisherman-style boat ('50 Hatteras Convertible for reference). Boat name = Three of Clubs (as in the playing card) represents fate to him and his high school sweetheart to whom he was engaged before a tragic event separated them. His main goal, beyond survival, is to reunite with his long, lost love, but he can't risk putting her in danger until he settles the case and those searching for him. The boat name (Three of Clubs) only has relevance to him and his soulmate, who is not even aware that he is still alive.

Requirements
Must have
- author name should be small on bottom of cover - not at top. Design is wide open for creative ideas. If a boat is used in artwork, it must be a modern sportfisherman style boat (google will define this
Nice to have
- I like intrigue and mystery. Don't try to explain or show too much. Prefer sunsets (orange, red, purple, yellow) to blue sky, blue water to give it a darker tone
Should not have
- do not want images of people on the cover like many romance novels do.
