I am looking for an update to our current design that will be more engaging to our users. The current version feels a little too brash and business-like. I would like to make it feel more inviting, to women especially, but men as well. The site is aimed at Indians and other South Asians in their mid 20s to late 30s, living primarily in the U.S. and Canada. It is still under development and not yet live.

This redesign is for the public part of the site, and not the inside pages for member users. To be clear, the sections to be redesigned are:
- the home landing page
- How It Works
- FAQ
- About Us
- Sign Up

Requirements

Must have

• I am updating the requirements for this to be a coded HTML/CSS page. (I've also increased the budget, added a 2nd place prize, extended the deadline, and guaranteed payment.) The design should be suitable for "responsiveness" to different browser window sizes, down to mobile phones.
• The main image, which is attached in the files, should continue to be the main image. However, the image can be re-cropped and re-filtered to better match the design. I am happy with the image being used as a full-page backdrop on the home page area, but I'm open to changes.
• All of the text on the current site should be part of the updated design. However, it can be reformatted and laid out differently. (Headings and navigation can be different.)
• The 'What's a Click Event?' section should have the sentences broken out from the single paragraph so that it is easier to read. Each sentence can be a distinct item.

Nice to have

• This site is about online events (called 'Click Events') where users can meet and get to know each other. So please keep in mind that the point of the website is to
• - educate users how Click Events work
• - get them to purchase a reservation for the next Click Event (which will be the first).
• Also, the design does not have to be completely different from the existing design, as the site is not yet live and has not been seen by users. Incremental, even small, changes to the current site that result in a captivating design would be just fine.
• Please consider using colors other than the logo colors.

Should not have

• It is not easy to find the right photo, so if you put additional images of people in your design, please make sure they
• - look South Asian (Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, etc.)
• - are wearing western clothing in a western setting
• Also, any images must be available for rights-free licensing. I can't accept submissions that don't follow these guidelines.
• This site is not like other dating sites, in that it has no profiles for users to go through and see. So please don't include any samples of these. Also, no testimonials, as this is a new site.
• There should not be any hearts in the design!
• Any iconified version of the word 'Kaneckt' must be either the actual full-color logo, or a monochrome version of it. Please don't use other word shapes for the site name.
