It is a period film taking place in the 1840's Pre-Civil War South. The tag line :In the depths of the pre-Civil War South, the blossoming romance between a slave and the son of her owner is threatened by the mystery of the mangled corpses of runaway slaves that are collecting in the woods. The genre is Southern Gothic Plantation Horror. The film is a thriller with horror elements. We would like the poster to be dark and engaging. The woods are a strong presence in the story. Slaves are found tortured and dead in the woods and no one knows if it is a spirit or human killing them. The slaves say "Stay away from the woods unless you want to end up a Graveyard Dog!" The bodies are tortured and left in the woods. they don't get a Christian burial. The only tombstones they ever have are the trees. Trees, woods, slaves hanging from trees maybe? Read more
