This is what Vinland Homes was looking for in their logo design

Our company is a start-up Residential Construction Company located in Atlantic Canada. We require a logo design and business card for use in our business.

The company name is 'Vinland Homes,' which is based on the 11th Century Norse explorers who came to Atlantic Canada in places such as L'Anse Aux Meadows. Vinland was their name for the new world, although there is some controversy on the exact location (Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, or Massachusetts). We like the concept of the pioneering/exploring individuals who travelled to North America and want to apply similar pioneering attitudes in our business.

Residential Construction in our market has recently hit an economic boom with many small firms becoming huge in a matter of months.
