Logo Design Brief
The Spirits Club is a startup Internet spirits retailing business. We plan to take interesting, unusual and craft spirit products and sell them. We need a graphic logo and logotype that can work together and separately. The idea is to do for spirits what the internet did for wine. We want to communicate: premium; craft; exploration; discovery; exclusivity; club. I like: the image of the Carter Head Still / gentleman's clubs / crests & shields. We need to appear ‘intrinsic’ (see stranger and stranger absinthe) and a bit old school but not old fashioned. I like Mumford and sons ‘gentlemen of mayhem’ and ‘of anarchy’ graphic devices. Stay away from Hendricks ‘Victoriana’ and steampunk. Target audience is 30 year old city dweller interested in premium products and brands. Bit “Millennial” design ethic. Just remember that graphic elements need to feel like the come from the spirits world.
