Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new company called "AppMarkable". AppMarkable is a cloud based service that helps application developers make their applications REMARKABLE - hence AppMarkable.

Our initial feature set is a robust logging and analytics/reporting toolset. The long term plan is to eventually branch out our feature set so we don't want the logo to be too tied to logging, reporting etc. The other features we are thinking of include cloud load balancing, cloud application firewalls, etc. You have seen cloud mentioned several times, however our application is not only for cloud applications, it can be used by mobile applications and even desktop (installed) apps.

The overall goal of AppMarkable is to make otherwise arduous tasks much easier so App developers (web, mobile, etc) can focus on continuous improvement rather than building the extraneous "supporting" infrastructure.

The final design should communicate a hip, clean, professional, feel.

We appreciate all the designs that have come in so far but after looking through the designs we have decided that the cloud concept is not going to work for us. We would like to see designs that include the following:

horizontal orientation
a styled icon of some sort on the left of the words AppMarkable that can be used as a standalone icon
Incorporation of stylized curly brackets { } somewhere within the left icon.
Our eye has been drawn to having the AM initials within the brackets, 2 styled left brackets together as a standalone icon, and a creatively styled set of brackets as the icon.

We would love to see some designs with these specifics in them to help us make our choice.

Requirements

Must have

• The logo should be more horizontal than vertical in orientation. We do not want anything that is going to be too tall and not fit nicely in the upper right corner of a website, etc.
  
  The name "AppMarkable" should be incorporated in the logo as well.
