Do you want the name to be a part of the logo it self, or you just want a pictorial logo?

Thank you for your interest and time.
I am looking for a logo-type image with Calvary Kids Club and the dove logo specifically.  The attached file I added is what I came up with but its not wow enough for me.  
I want a logo I can put on pencils, notebooks, and t-shirts for example.  
I minister kids from Pre-K to 5th grade so I want it to be 'cool' and 'hip' so that all ages will enjoy wearing the shirt.  The colors need to be a good mix of 'boy', 'girl', and non-gender colors so that again, all will enjoy wearing it.
