Logo Design Brief

Looking for a logo for my brother-in-law's new business. He installs and repairs drywall for commercial and residential projects, working as a subcontractor to area builders. I made some ROUGH sketches for him, and he chose three of the attached options to pursue in crowdsourcing. (We'd like to avoid making the drywall blade look like a penis, though). This logo will be primarily used on apparel (shirts and hats), vehicle signage, and invoicing documents. So, solid colors will work better than gradations.
