Graphic Design Brief

Design brief:

Design an iconic sign or set of symbols indicating that people are not allowed to wear Google Glass Hardware. The design should be iconic, clear and simple so as to be usable as ban sign.

Background:

Project Glass, Google’s project to develop a head-mounted display equipped with video camera, microphone and GPS positioning is scheduled to start shipping this year. While a smart phone is equally capable in this regard, the potential for covert and continuous recording changes the relationship to one where it must be assumed that the wearer is recording and broadcasting to Google or publicly to the world.

Clearly there are strong social and privacy implications. There is therefore a need for people and companies to indicate that they will not allow people to wearing these potential surveillance devices on their property.

The sign will be used for a variety of purposes.
(1) Actual signs to be put on walls / windows
(2) T-shirts
(3) Stickers and Posters
