Logo Design Brief

COLORS:

Green and Brown, using darker shades of those colors rather than lighter.


BACKGROUND:

The logo is for my website design and development company. My partner and I are great at developing websites, not so great at graphic design. I'll also be looking for somebody to redesign our website after a logo is created.

If the winning logo designer does an outstanding job, we may offer them the website redesign project directly.


DETAILS:

My company name is Elm City Web Design, named after New Haven Connecticut's nickname, the Elm City.

Some elements to think about incorporating into the logo would include an Elm tree(must be an elm tree or look enough like it) or some kind of city theme.

I'm not opposed to "Elm City Web Design" on two lines instead of one...

I'm not opposed to a "wordmark" logo with no imagery, but this logo will have to knock my socks off to be chosen as the winner.

I realize my company name is somewhat long and some of my requests just may not work well. I'm open to any ideas, feel free to offer up any suggestions.

Requirements

Must have

• Darker shades of green and brown.
  
  A sense of professionalism.
  
  

Nice to have

• If you feel the need to use another color in addition to a darker shade of green and brown, then go for it.
  
  Elm Tree, or city theme(probably can't fit), or a combination of an elm tree/city theme.
  
  Modern, professional font, but not too conservative. Font should show some flare, but not be old-time cursive.

Should not have

• No characters or shields.
  
  No cursive fonts.
