Logo Design Brief

I am starting a new food and travel blog in my native language Lithuanian and the blog name will be “duok druskos” which translates to “give me salt”. I chose the name for both reasons - cooking and traveling. Where ever we are in world we use salt in our kitchens. In one way or another it is quit simple but universal product for any country.
Even if it is a food blog I do not wish to see forks or spoons in my logo. I like simple and elegant designs. I could imagine a round logo representing a plate with name inside the circle and some salt crystals accidentally strew around. Colors - probably bluish , maybe some washed out effect- like we see in quarrel paintings.
I am totally ready to think out of the box so I am open to any design propositions.
Most likely I will use Foodie Pro theme, just to give you the idea of page layouts.

I have attached a picture of a tshir i stumbled upon, I like the image on it a lot.
