1. Design only - no code.
2. No specific color scheme aside from what's already in the brief (light background with touches of primary colors like red, blue, yellow and green - similar to children's building clocks).
3. Only copy that's necessary is in the logo and the subheading.
4. I don't have a particular look in mind, but would love to see what designers come up with as a starting point, and refine based on your work. Above all, it needs to be CLEAN (no sense of clutter), elegant and readable, while reflecting its topic - toys!

Hi there, I love the brief and the blog has a great idea, I wish you all the best. I'd love to help with this project, I just wanted to ask before I started; do you have any preference to how many columns you will need/want?

Could I also ask about the style of blog posts you intend to write, for example, will they mostly be long written posts or short updates and do you plan to include many pictures in the posts?

Hi Michael,

I've got a placeholder generic Wordpress site at www.toyingwithplay.com. It has just a few posts on it that you can look at to get a sense of the type of post. Generally, the updates will be fairly short, but once in a while I'll probably post something slightly longer (~1000). There won't be a picture every time.

In terms of columns, I don't have a huge preference - I just need a format that's reader friendly. But I'll probably need at least some kind of sidebar for widgets. :)
