Logo Design Brief

I need a logo designed that is suitable for use on letterhead, web, but, in particular for embroidery on our competition teams horse rugs, saddle cloths, t-shirts. I want a simple, elegant, clean and classy look. We breed high quality horses for the dressage competition scene here in Australia and have the first of our home-bred stock entering the scene this year at some the biggest competitions so I want to ensure our branding represents the quality we aim to display in our breeding programme as well as in the competition arena. Our colours are navy and silver (not the glittery type!), most of our rugs, saddlecloths, etc., will be navy, so a logo of one solid colour such as silver or even some different shades of silver may work best. A dressage themed logo would be a nice touch but I can't seem to find one to suit!
