Business Card Design Brief

I need a business card for a new company based in Perth, Western Australia, called RW Energy Pty Ltd.

I'm the sole proprietor, and have 25 years' experience in directorship, senior commercial/business development/strategy roles in the oil & gas industry with both supermajors and junior listed companies. I also have interests in renewable energy (and am co-founder and director of a separate renewable energy start-up company). RW Energy will be the vehicle for me to contract my services, principally in the oil & gas industry (although this will include directorship services to the renewable energy company). These services will include general consultancy in my areas of expertise, and contracting to provide senior management/director services to start-up or junior oil and gas companies.

I'm looking for a design that communicates professionalism, dynamism, experience, strategic skills and growth.

I spent 24 years with BP where I built up extensive international experience in oil, gas and energy and was a member of the company’s “fast track” development programme. As an entrepreneurial senior commercial leader, strategic thinker and tactical dealmaker I was responsible for numerous deals such as divestments, farm-ins, asset swaps, new acreage bids, unitizations, gas and LNG sales, creating billions of dollars of value for BP. These deals frequently broke new ground and/or required an innovative approach that delivered results in excess of what the business thought achievable. I have held senior executive and director roles covering Exploration & Production, Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Development, LNG Marketing, Joint Venture Management, Gas & Power and Corporate head office. International assignments included UK, Australia, Indonesia, Norway & Belgium.

I’m a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Board experience comprises four directorships and two alternate directorships of Australian companies, and directorship of a Not for Profit organisation.
