Logo Design Brief

I need a logo to put on all my flyers, on my car magnet, on my biz cards, my postcards... could have my photo in it

I am a Nutritional Coach. I work as a consultant with my clients to help them make healthier choices with their food, I teach them to cook in healthier ways with better ingredients. I work with them to discover what they are eating that causes their illnesses, and we look for solutions together. I also do colonics, to help them heal and eliminate better when they do juice fasts, etc.

I already have the facebook page for the biz and I own the URL: TheFoodDetectiveUSA.com.

There was a show on the Food Network hosted by Ted Allen in 2009 (one season) called FOOD DETECTIVES but that show was focused on answering questions on air about questions viewers write in about.

I will be teaching cooking, helping people incorporate their doctor's food restrictions into their life. My business is local to Albuquerque, NM where I consult. I need to make sure my logo looks nothing like this TV show's. Their show's logo (visible on their videos at the top) looks like a spinning atom, with an apple in the middle

What I have in mind is more like a sherlock holmes magnifying glass, investigating food. DON'T DO AN APPLE. Or maybe something less literal. I need catchy, simple, clean lines. I used to work in graphic design so I know what I like and can clearly communicate what I like/don't like so working together should go well... I can articulate what works, what needs to change. I want it colorful, memorable...

• If someone could do a simple line illustration/cartoon of me with a magnifying glass and the words The Food Detective USA, I would be pretty happy. This is a really good photo of me - wide smile, glasses. short, punky hair. This is my "look".
  
  However, if you come up with a really good logo without any cartoon of me, that's fine....it's an option i am interested in...
