Charity: To help relieve the pain & fear a child & adolescent endures when living in the hospital fighting cancer. We provide books, toys & games to youth to play with during their hospital stay. Trying to bring them happiness in a tough time. Items are delivered via a cart to each room.
Outcome of Logo: To give a warm & caring yet distinguished & legitimate feel. I want donors to respect the brand and feel it is an established reputable business to donate their money to. I need hospitals to respect the brand yet still recognize we genuinely care about our mission in order to accept us in their hospitals. And, it should be obvious it is a child / adolescent focused mission without being too childish a design. Want a youthful excitement to it. Logo needs to be simple enough to transcend different mediums: website, marketing materials/ pamphlets, business cards, shirts, etc.
Logo description specifics:
-General Idea: A cart with a child sitting in it with their hands in the air in excitement throwing toys into the air. The company name on top & bottom. Company name is: Kate's Karts. Ideally, I would like the logo to form a circle type shape. The logo should be rather simple so silhouette shapes are totally fine. Less is more. Would like it to look good large but also able to scale it down the small for front pocket of a shirt and be able to tell what it is.
- The Cart: I think the most recognizable to the general public is a shopping cart so something similar but not an actual shopping cart. Put a spin on it.
- Child: A silhouette would be best / easiest. Wanting them to be excited, youthful & grateful feeling. They are sitting in the cart throwing items in the air.
- Toys in the air: I was thinking a bunny rabbit or teddy bear, a book, and a ball. All gender neutral items. Silhouette style are fine as well. Not too detailed but obvious what they are.
- Colors - I'm open to different color interpretations as this can be changed without altering actual design element. Either submit grayscale & add color after. Colors I lean toward: light green, blue, purple, black, white, gray. But open to anything. I care more about the feel: youthful, reputable, respectful than the colors.
-Text: Have a kid-ish feel/font but not too much so that it isn't reputable looking. Error on professional side with child-like spirit.
I've attached a simple hand drawing for reference. I apologize for the lack of drawing talent. Enjoy the laugh!
