Logo Design Brief

TO DESIGNERS WHO LOVE ARTISTIC, ALTERNATIVE projects!
I need a unique, creative, arty, relevant, catching logo designed for my small dreadlock business - Divine Dreadlocks, based near Byron Bay NSW, Australia.
It must have an image with dreadlocks on it, or an icon that represents dreadlocks in a more subtle way.

Divine Dreadlocks provides the following services - 100% natural, wax and chemical free, minimal maintenance, neat, tight, permanent dreadlock creation AND dreadlock maintenance, repair, extensions and locktician training courses (coming soon).

Divine Dreadlocks edge in this niche market is that I'm - very professional, do a very thorough job & guarantee satisfaction, take a lot of pride in my work, I'm personable & form a close & beautiful connection with all my clients, I provide after care information for free and excellent service.

I'd like a logo that includes font and an image that PLAYS with the idea that Divine Dreadlocks are "divine" in any or all senses of the word - Eg: Divine (adjective)
1.Having godlike nature - being God or a god or goddess
2.Relating to God, gods or goddesses - connected with, coming from, or caused by God or a god or goddess, AND
4. Lovely - pleasing, attractive, or well performed

Some ideas I've doodled are: Turning the end of a D into a dreadlock that flows and curls under the words, or adding dreads to a simple stencil style head & torso of a known god & goddess Eg: Venus and Thor

PLEASE LOOK AT ATTACHED FILES!!!
- The Venus is for inspiration ONLY! Gives idea of goddess figure with dreads. If anyone can use images of known god/godesses for the head and add dreads this would be great to see! A male & female would be good.
- I've added font ideas. I need funky, but easy to read.

Requirements

Must have

• The logo MUST have:
  A unique, funky font ( I like original typography or fonts of a "retro" "arty" or "funky" genre...
  ...AND an 'icon' either as an image separate from the font or an image integrated with and connected to the font.
  Some colour. No more than 3 different colours. Some ideas of colour combinations I like are: dark purple and green, teal, black & white, blue hues.
  An image with dreadlocks (even if they're in a simplified/representative form).
  Appeal to both sexes.
  MUST BE:
  FUNKY
  UNIQUE
  ARTY
  QUIRKY ?!
  YET PROFESSIONAL!
  Must be usable across collateral. Eg: I'll use it on a car door magnet, premises sign, business cards, website, stantionary etc etc. (Aim to use Vista Print, so must be compatible with their printing requirements please)

  Eg: a stencilled halo around the dreadlocked heads.
  
  Some ideas with and some without a "border/box" encasing either the icon or the whole thing.

  standard boring serif fonts Eg: times new roman
  Any scissor images
  cheesy
  tacky
  too gender biased
  corporate
