Logo Design Brief

We need a redesign of a logo for a rock band. The current version of the brand can be seen here

We are looking for an updated version that brings the band into a more professional image. The band play music along the lines of the band "Tool" and although we want to keep the concept original, the dark imagery is what we want to associate with it.

The bands next release will be called "The Virus", and is based on the idea that society has a virus within itself and will eventually be destroyed.

I hope this helps with some direction.

Thanks for your prompt reply mate. I have attached some images from older releases and promos, also some rough photos of sketches etc. All apologies for image size/quality, I couldn't find originals so have just ripped them from website. Look us up on Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/causeinaffect to get a taste of old gigs/shows ... Our website is down at the moment for an extreme facelift which will @ causeinaffect.com when its up & running. The promo video has been the main focus over the past few months and has been kept under wraps, so we would really like it to be kept confidential until a release date. We have done a few solid days of filming, photo shoots and much editing since, probably a couple more minor edits before its released. The promo video will contain the new design, maybe spliced throughout but if not it will definitely be inserted at the end of the video with a "Cause In Affect...Coming Soon" kind of message. If you think this is within you style and skill set we will be looking forward to seeing some of your ideas before committing to anything. Our genre would be considered to be somewhat a fusion of Prog Rock, Metal, Soundscape/Space Rock(very hard to pigeon hole our sound) . This record will be released as a "concept record" simply for the fact that there is a story behind it which requires each song to be a chapter of a bigger picture but also must be great listening as stand alone tracks too. We have big ideas for this release and for the shows when it comes time to tour them
