How many designs per artist ought to be submitted?

What do you exactly mean by "useful" or "helpful". I've seen "creative" macbook decals, but are simply there for aesthetics. Can you help me clarify your definition of "useful" or "helpful"?

Hi designers, thanks for the response, can''t wait to see your designs. You are free to submit as many designs as you like.

@pixelramendesigns: in relation to your question, the design should be practical and useful. For example,  a ruler for a high school student or human anatomy chart for a doctor or an eye chart for optometry. (Those ideas are just to stimulate your thinking.)

In most cases this will be an object or tool not a graphic design/artwork, not "simply there for aesthetics" as you say. However as this is a design contest, we expect a professional technical and strong aesthetic execution of the concept. Or to put it another way, there are two parts to the brief - the ideas and then how well executed the idea is, meaning it should be clever, creative and look good.

We have updated the brief to include some extra examples of what specific professionals or groups might find useful. Make sure to focus on what each group might find useful - this could be things like periodic and multiplication tables, formula charts or world maps for students and teachers.

Hello designers, DesignCrowd here :) We''ve seen your designs come through and just wanted to give you some more direction about the kind of designs we''d like to see. We''ve seen lots of occupation-inspired designs, that are just themed. But what we''re really after is more of a helpful decal. Something people can look at or use in a situation that will actually make the laptop a useful tool when it is not operating as a laptop. So a decal with the periodic table, a decal with the multiplication table for students, a decal with photoshop shortcuts for designers, a decal with the 2014 calendar. Please only submit useful Macbook decals. Looking forward to seeing what you can design!
