Background Information
Integrated Middle School Science Partnership Project (San Francisco Bay Area)
This project will develop and study a professional development model designed to transform science teaching and learning in under-performing middle schools serving predominantly low-income minority students. IMSS is designed to engage and inspire teachers and students in “authentic discovery” as active members of a science professional learning community with discipline faculty, federal research laboratory and industry scientists, and leading informal science institutions.
IMSS Goals:
1) Increase the quality, quantity, and diversity of middle school science teachers and students engaged in transformative science teaching and learning
2) Create online professional development anchored in exemplary project-based investigative science in instructional cases
3) Develop school leadership and a partnership infrastructure to support systemic change and sustain and scale the project.

Updates
Thank you very much to all designers who have submitted logo designs for our contest. Our agency just reopened after being closed for 10 days. The project team will need to do an initial review of all of the designs. (Because the team will not be meeting right away, I am extending the logo contest deadline by a few days.) After that initial review I will provide feedback to designers whose designs we are considering. Thank you for your time, work and creativity. Happy New Year!

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Project Team needs to meet to review all the logo design contest submissions. We won't be meeting for a few days so I've decided to extend the deadline for a few days. Thanks!

We have chosen a winner for our logo design contest. The decision was a difficult one because many talented designers submitted many creative designs. The decision was based on which logo best represented our program and will work best for our marketing materials. It was not based solely on creativity by any means. Thank you for taking the time to submit your designs to our contest. Based on the designs we received, you shouldn't have any problem winning other logo design contests. Thanks again.
