Hi there,

Please clarify the project scope, i am sure that as an IT company your are not expecting to have a Website custome designed and developed within this budget. But that's what your brief seems to point to.

Hello,

I'm not sure how the dollar amount was determined as that was generated by DesignCrowd.

We are not looking for something that's over complicated. The most important things are:

- it must be designed for SharePoint as it will be our Office365 public site
- we need to be able to add products on a weekly basis, to include any specials.

All the other information about the company is static.

Thanks.

Hi there,

DesignCrowd provides preset options for the budget so the Project Owner can quickly select one he feels appropriate, on the other hand DesignCrowd is meant for design only projects, not development.

You are asking both. (design/development)
So the best course of action would be:
-Manually update the Budget
-Make sure the designer you want to work with can indeed provide the development, as most here can´t.

Note: You mention the ability to add products and include specials, so i assume you want a backend? or will you get the products into the code yourself?
Backend, would mean, sessions, Database, and so on,,,

Paulo

I am looking for recommendations for populating. If a backend is required, we would provide it.
If you feel better providing a design but not coding, please still submit so that we can review.

Thanks
Bobby

Hi Bobby,

What you mean with "recommendations for populating" ?
Indeed i feel design only is more appropriate considering the circumstances, if you later decide you want the development as well, then i am sure we can find a way to make it worth for both of us.

Please update the project as payment guaranteed as soon as possible so i can start working on it.

Paulo

I meant I'm looking for designers to suggest the best way to upload product data.

My understanding of payment guaranteed is that I will be forced to pick a design. If I don't see something I like, I don't place to purchase for the sake of purchasing.

I guess that it heavily depends on your needs, if you just want to upload the product to the main page... and the products dont have much data to it, then.. codding directly on the homepage is easy peach .. but if you would like to actually manage the products, add/edit/delete, promotions, prices, and so on... then i would look into have a proper administration area built, probably it would be better to look into having a CMS website developed with some sort of eCommerce implementation, this way you have everything you want and more at a fraction of the cost of having every single feature developed from scratch.

I´m happy to brainstorm with you and find solutions if we end up working together.

As for the payment guaranteed, well your understanding is somewhat correct but keep in mind that there is no deadline, you dont have to pay for something that you dont like, the only question is how long it will take. But you seem to be someone that will provide proper feedback, so i dont see this project dragging for long.
I will work on the project for as long as needed until we reach a design that portrays your business as you see it but please understand that i design from the bottom up, so while i am willing to participate on contests, i am unwilling to participate on a contest where the prize isn´t really there.

Let me know if this sounds fair to you.

Best Regards,
Paulo

Hi Paulo,

As I mentioned, I can't guarantee payment if I don't see something we like. So far, we have received about 6 submittals and we've already started to evaluate those. We expect to make a decision a week or so after the deadline.

Thanks.
