Logo Design Brief
We've had the same logo since our founding (10 years ago)and need a newer, fresh and relevant look. We develop real-time video encoding and streaming (transcoding) hardware that enable live tv to mobile devices (iphones, android, ipads, etc) webTV and home tv's. We do not sell to end user but our customers are telcos (like ATT), or system integrators (Motorola,Alcatel, Cisco). Transcoding is like a universal translator but for video (1 input to multiple differnt outputs). We are currently doing a new website design and need a logo to help reintroduce our company as a confident and mature leader in this market. Nothing too busy or complex.
Target Market(s)
The user's are electrical engineers (computer programers), Product Development Mangers, Adult males usually. However, our logo doesn't need to speak specifically to them. Our products sit in server labs

Requirements
Must have
- professional, confident, stable, leader, product innovation, next generation, forward thinking,
Nice to have
- Our colors can change to anything that works but it would be nice to have some aspect of our current logo to remind viewer we are the same company. Like using some blue may be an idea. maybe consider a design around the apple logo chrome/black/white/blue colors (see attached logo)
Should not have
- should not be too complex or busy. "next generation transcoding" should not be used. logo should not have a shadow (like it does currently).
