Logo Design Brief

Hi!

We're a motorboat/water jet/outboard authorised dealer/service based in Poland. Located over the "longest lake in Europe".

We're a Yamaha authorized dealer (and also Kawasaki but we stay focused on Yamaha) since 1995 and of course somehow we stay under their brands but also want to build some own identity.

Beside of waterjets/PWC's and yamaha outboard engines we deal with motorboats (mostly with rigged yamaha outboards of course). We sell (authorised dealer of Galeon, Galia, Nordic Oceancraft etc.) maintain, service and repair them. We also make the PWC tuning and PWC/motorboat modifications.

Also our third main thing is Marine (and a bit of car) Audio Systems -
we're Alpine / Clarion / Helix authorised dealer.

So... to recap everything: We deal with:
1. Motorboats
2. Water jets
3. Mobile audio systrms


I don't really know how to connect the third thing with the two first ones on logo and maybe it's not a wise thing to do.

Again - we do focus a bit more on two first topics over audio systems but just a little bit. So anyway putting too much focus on showing our relation with Audio Systems is not a must.

Anyway the logo should be sporty, agrresive maybe motorsport style shaped but also quite simple and classy. It woudn't be bad if it would somehow picture our eperience (after 17 years on the market - since 1995 - we stay one of most experienced guys in this business in our country
In Polish language "since 1995" would be "od 1995" - you can (but of course you don't have to) put it in the logo

The crappiest thing and the only issue is that our company is named BIS - which competely does not match to water/motorsport business but it's too late to change that.

We decided that we'll call ourselves "BIS ILAWA" (ilawa is our city name - it's placed over the "longest lake in Europe" called Jeziorak) We think this will be better as we're even recognized as "Yamaha from Ilawa" by a lot of our customers.

Logo should look nice on almost any colour - we make stickers with our logo and a bit of data (address, phone etc.) that we put on almost everything we sell - boats and PWC's have many different colours and it has to look nice. Beside of that the Logo will be used on our website, the paperwork, visit cards Magazine adverts etc.

We plan to make annual yearly limited editions of Yamaha Water Jets - tuned up, totally repainted etc. But only one/ a few per year.
Each one different and unique. We'd like to put an engraved golden/silver plate/badge with some logo "BIS ILAWA LIMITED EDITION Serial No..." on it - But Also we'd like to use our logo as a kind of "brand name" on our tuned limited edition PWC's (same like Alpina (with BMW's) AC Schnitzer, or AMG (with Mercedes) for an example.

If it's about the name itself - the both words does not have to be in the same style - the BIS can be bigger and the Ilawa can be just a smaller addition. Again - not a must

Again - I don't know much about graphic design - so all of this are just some thoughts and not strict rules that you have to keep up to.

Requirements

Must have

• Some graphic motive - (maybe abstractive) which would remind water/motorsport in peoples minds and can be also used on it's own - without the conpany name and would still show our "brand" - to be used as a kind of "water vehicle manufacturer/tuner logo"
  
  This graphic motive needs to be really strong as we're dealing with a problem that company name itself is "shitty" and means almost nothing but it's just a lot too late to change it.
  
  Other option is to make some grahic motive OUT of the name (preferrably first part of it) so it will do the trick as well ;)
