Graphic Design Brief

We have an image of a anti-prohibition rally from the 1930s. The current size of the image is 1140x902 (72dpi).

We wish to use this image on the side of our new 14 seat bus. The problem is we cannot increase it to a new size without it distorting. The new van design is attached.

The size of the image is 1950mm (h) x 2500mm (l) - which can be seen in the van design (attached). We would like to use this image without losing the detail found in the image.

Does the image need to be a vector? Truthfully, no. As long as it can be printed in photo quality, at the size indicated above.
