Illustration Design Brief
We need a character...an iconic character that will come to represent our feel-good brand (as the swoosh does Nike, as Mickey does Disney, as Hello Kitty does Hello Kitty, as the monkey does Paul Frank...).
The icon needs to be 1) happy 2) cool 3) flexible enough to - over time - appear in poses and situations 4) not too literal 5) targeted to sophisticated girls 16 - 20.
The character must be clearly female but doesn't necessarily need to be human. It could be an animal, a creation, a robot, a human, a flower, anything provided it meets the brief.
The character also needs to be able to be expressed in a variety of sizes and media (from the web to a tee shirt).
