Logo Design Brief

The requirement is for a logo design for a sports media company called 'Snowfunk'.

The logo should project an image of speed, vibrancy, and 'cool'.

The company is initially focussing on the sport of Speedway (see http://speedwaygp.com/en/gallery and http://www.speedwaygb.com/whatisspeedway.html) but may branch out into other sports in the future. The company is currently developing mobile device applications (e.g. iPhone apps) but may expand to other areas in the future.

The logo would be expected to work on a mobile device screen as well as on the web and on stationery/business cards etc.. Something that works against a light or dark background is required. The logo should have an identifiable element that would work well on a small square (e.g. for an app icon) which may or may not be the entire logo.

Requirements

Must have

• Logo must have an identifiable element that works as a small square icon (e.g. for an iPhone app icon). This could be an optional accompaniment to a wordmark logo if that was the designer's preference. Logo must work against light or dark background.

Nice to have

• Colour in the logo is fine, although it would be nice to have a black and white version to accompany it if at all possible. It would also be nice to have a separate version of the logo supplied with the accompanying text 'Speedway' in a complementary style (as in 'Snowfunk Speedway'.
