Logo Design Brief

Muddy Buck is a coffee house cafe that features fresh roasted coffees, tea and fresh baked goods and breakfast items. We also feature sandwiches, salads and seasonal items - frozen blended drinks during summer and hot soups throughout the winter. We have a full bar as well and have a few evenings of live entertainment including an open mic night and featured performers/bands. We consider ourselves a full service coffee house and would like the logo to not only give a 'dive bar/cafe' feel that reflects our mountain location, but also be able to brand our coffee that we roast ourselves for sale through other less rustic locations. The logo needs to reproduce well on packaging, signage as well as letterhead, T-shirts, mugs, etc. Some background of the name Muddy Buck: Muddy, of course is representing coffee, but we also want it to be able to represent the fun that can be had in the mud - mountain biking through muddy streams, dirt biking, fishing... and Buck meaning the fabulous male elk that live all over Evergreen! We would like a certain level of 'cool and hip' with a touch of rustic dive bar. It needs to be as appropriate in the city as it is in the mountains.
