Novice that I am with dealing with designers!! I am not totally sure what an icon v logo is?!! What I am looking for is a corporate ''brand'' (logo) which I will use for business letterhead and website etc...then I will use an ''element'' of the logo to create a a clothing label, like a reoccurring theme. The Ningaloo Reef on the coast of Western Australia is a pristine coral reef with an abundance of marine life including the whaleshark, loggerhead turtles and other rare species. The area is rich in tourism, surfing, fishing and diving. Aquatic playground. The quality of souvenir merchandise is very poor. I am wanting a brand/logo that I can expand on and for it to be funky and clever. The prawn is not essential...but it has providence with it being a major industry in the region.

I think the brief was fine, a logo is basically going to be an icon so just got to use initiative there.
