Logo Design Brief

We are looking for a logo design for a new reservation/administration system aimed at the tourism and hospitality industries, specifically hotels, holiday parks and resorts called "NewBook." It is intended as a complete replacement for paper-based systems. The text would preferably be in lower case, although we would like submissions of both types for a basis of comparison.

We would like a modern, slick, and above all, "friendly" type of design. As a reference point for inspiration, in terms of design style, we quite like the Me.com website.

We request that only Vector image formats be submitted so that they can be used for printing, canvases, etc. - NO PHOTOS PLEASE.

UPDATE 8 NOVEMBER: Thank you all for your submissions so far. In terms of colour, after looking at some submissions we are beginning to lean towards a combination of light blue/yellow/white for a "sunny"/"sea" kind of feel. The idea behind this software system is that it will be the "dawn of a new day" in reservation management for resorts/holiday parks/hotels etc.
