hi kristen,

sorry you took it the wrong way - i was not saying that you are generic - i was saying that actual logo whereas very nice it does not actually portray the character of the man - no offence meant - and yes as you say all this is very subjective.

tnx

No offence taken, I haven't submitted anything... I was referring to the post by Jon- assuming there is no talent on this site (that I found offensive). There is a huge difference in the quality of work between those formally trained against those that aren't and it is massively apparent in the outcome of the work. I bet you've seen it all. Seems like everyone is having a stab at this project, it's good to see that you are keeping up with the comments.

Hi,

Yes strange comment by Jon alright - he must have time on his hands, so he should join in !

You are right there is a big difference between those formally trained and those not. But at the end of the day it is very subjective. I take aboard Jons comments but not every agence is work their price - Look at Tiger Woods logo a 15 yr old kid could have come up with it - but hey Tiger is happy with it and the agency was happy to get paid 20k for the logo alone, just becuase they spent alot of time in meetings discussing it !

I did reply to a few people that their designs were generic , and i mean no offense by it - i just mean that we are looking for something simple yet instantly recognizable and something which speaks of his character.

Here is the result of the last contest we run may give people an idea of quality we are looking for : http://screencast.com/t/C7sOOe3Wfo0

I try to stay uptodate with comments and try my best to provide feeback - its a matter of respect really !

Tnx
Sean

Thanks for the invite Sean,

Very interesting brief and ideas, and incredibly relevant to my own interests.
The respectful, loose, cheerful and seemingly honest attitude is refreshing btw.
Looking forward to doing some work here. Though if you would like something like the Woods design then i will meet you in the middle, for a bargain 10k :)
Haha.
I have some travel to do today and tomorrow but will do some sketches and confer with my partner.
Best of Luck,

Rhys

Hi Sean,

I'll submit 3 designs for this project.
Final artwork will be Illustrator EPS vector files.

Regarding your update to the brief... I got it! K.I.S.S. (not literally of course).

Best regards

Gav
