Web Design Brief

This website is a shop-front for a professional writing company. The company specialises in writing resumes, cover letters and other personal career documents, such as LinkedIn profiles. It also performs a range of other professional writing services, such as technical writing and tender documents.

Customers use the site to get information about career documents, find out about our approach and order online.

The key brand idea that needs to come across is craftsmanship, in the sense of old-fashioned ideas of skilled trades. The working title business name is The Word Smith and I would like the graphic design of the site to draw inspiration from old-school trades and craftspeople, like blacksmiths.

I will be programming the site myself in Joomla.

Requirements

Must have

• Each page must have space on either the right or left-hand side for a contact for and live chat button.

Nice to have

• One current idea is to have the site primarily black and white (with some strategic use of colour to keep it interesting) and to use imagery of wrought iron however I am open to alternatives.

Should not have

• No Arial in the fonts
  No cartoons in the graphics
