Logo Design Brief

We have a rough design of where we'd like the logo to go, but we need to clean it up and add a "reptilian element" to it (scaled area, a reptilian eye, or perhaps a rattlesnake rattle integrated into it) It would be awesome if it had more of a vector look, somewhat along the lines of many of the sports logos out there today.

Our organization is an education and advocacy group for reptiles and reptile keepers in Texas.

It would also be nice to have a couple of different versions of it, one for a black shirt and one for a white. The state outline can be in either black or white to make that actually work. Another thing that would be great would of course be to have multiple sizes of the file, to cover business cards, shirts, hats, as well as large enough for a banner. If it's a vector image, I'm sure that won't be a problem.
