I have just one more question - or more of a request actually.

Since keeping the 'possibility' part of the logo is an option, would it be possible (pun intended) to attach your sister company's logo in vector graphic? The image that you have provided is a rasterized one - meaning, it consists of pixels. In order to fully modify it, I'd have to convert the pixels to vectors or recreate it from a scratch. It usually comes with a slight loss of quality. It is especially important if you wish to remain consistent with the general branding theme, while creating a variation of the logo, so to speak.

Of course, if you don't posses it, I shall find my way around.
