Logo Design Brief

I am launching a new house painting company in Lancaster, PA called Pride Craft Painting Company. Specializing in producing high quality, long lasting, durable, fine finish work. Some of the main goals of my company are to: Bring respect and reverence back to the painting trade. Creating customer satisfaction through listening to clients needs. Client education. Beautifying customers homes with attention to detail using the best products on the market. I work one job at a time utilizing the latest technology available as well as keeping up with current trends. Whether their home is 100 years old or 5 years old. I am hoping to find a logo that is simple yet conveys something about the historic value of the painting trade, something that separates me from the competition. I think I would like to stay away from the typical paint brush, roller, paint can, splatter logo.

Target Market(s)

My target customers range usually in the age group of older than 35. Typically my customers are realtors and upper income bracket.

Must have

• Must convey my strong beliefs on high quality craftsmanship. I like plain or historic style text and a simple logo design relating to the craft of painting and possibly incorporate a letter or two within my company's name. Just a thought, would it be possible to incorporate a painters 5 in 1 tool in the logo? see photo

Nice to have

• Something simple to catch the attention of customers along with expressing my pride in the tradition in craftsmanship. An American Bald Eagle, in a pretty much straight on view clutching a paintbrush in its talons. The words Pride Craft above and Painting Company below.

Should not have

• rainbow colors, flowers
