Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for our study program, Geodesy and Geoinformatics Engineering, in University of Stuttgart, Germany. Geodesy and Geoinformatics Engineering – originating from Surveying – is nowadays a highly interdisciplinary engineering science. This discipline is found within the fields of applied mathematics, computer science, physics and geoscience on the one hand, and belongs within Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering on the other.
Typical tasks include the determination of the shape of the Earth, the acquisition and utilization of spatial data for the production of maps and plans, as well as the development and application of measurement methods for the construction and monitoring of engineering structures.
Traditional measurement tools have been replaced by fully automated equipment, modern satellite technology and remote digital sensors. The new techniques have opened doors to challenging and interesting sciences of satellite geodesy, remote sensing. Geospatial information from all sectors is recorded, processed and analyzed by computer-based methods of geoinformatics.
