Hello! I would like some information, please. You've stated that you might be amenable to a business card that is larger than regular cards. I was wondering if you are also amenable to die cut.
I did a quick Google search and I want to share the results with you. Currently, I'm sick in bed and I"m not even sure I'll be able to participate but I wanted to reach out and give you some more food for thought.

In any case, I wish you all the best. You seem like a lovely person and I am sure someone here will design you a beautiful card.
OOOOPS! Why is my tiny URL not working?
Here's the long one

Also, die cut cards are more expensive but I think it would be worth the cost if you end up with something so lovely no one would ever toss it.
Rosemarie,
First...SO sorry you are under the weather....I had the flu for 3 weeks. Yep...the H1N1....and it was horrific! I had the flu shot too... SO you take care of yourself....nothing is worth it if you don''t have your health!!!
I love your idea...and I agree it would be awesome. Question: What does something like that cost to reproduce, say 1000 cards? or 500 cards? I imagine that quantity helps get the cost down...but it is a fabulous idea.
I will certainly give it serious consideration. Thank you so much for caring about me and my....and you feel better soon....
kind regards,
Deedee

You are so kind - I'm just learning. I've only taken 6 courses. I'm actually a grandmother who has finally found something she likes to do.
I really want you to have a fabulous card. I'll try. But you do have all my best wishes for success.
ALLEGEDLY - leaf cut cards can be as low as $60. I didn't do too much research though becauseI have to get to work. Here's a link.

I personally love vellum business cards. They're a bit pricey too. But they can feel and look so luxurious. Just a thought. They seem to be about $50 per box of 500
Rosemarie...
I love the feminine aspect of the designs you do. PLEASE.... submit some designs...

Hello,
Your unique examples all use speciality finishing with non-standard substrates/stocks, which is no problem at all to do—except for the fact that you have made printing arrangements with a supplier which have limited us to an exact size which you have stated you don't want and no speciality finishing or stock selection options. If I am correct in my assumption of what you want, it basically kills all your options to having something more unique then just a standard print. Unique design is one thing, unique design utilizing specialty Finishing/Manufacturing/Stocks/Production techniques is another.
So the conundrum is... if we give you what I think you want, we will be forfeiting the prize should it win because we did not adhere to the suppliers specifications which are provided with your brief so they can't/won't produce it. If we design something unique within the suppliers limitations I think we won't be doing what you want. Aye, 'tis a gong show I tell ya.
So if you want more then just a standard 4/4 print, in a standard size you will need to talk to support.
If then the job is opened up without limitations then skys the limit on what everyone can give you. If it goes that route it would also be good to give us a budget of what you wanted to stay in for the production of the cards, some specialty finishing can be reasonable and other options may brake the bank. What one person finds reasonable another may find over the top—especially compared to some cheap ganged C2S cards.
Cheers
