Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a brand new, weekly pool party series that is set to open mid-April, 2014 at one of Miami Beach's most iconic, beach front hotels. "Summer Daze" will feature many of the EDM industries top popular artists and will have a "Vegas Like" feel due to the Venue's 1,200 person capacity.

Target Market(s)

Affluent EDM fans and individuals between the ages of 21-35 comprise of the primary target demographic for "Summer Daze".

Requirements

Must have

• We would like to see CREATIVE designs that:
  - Incorporate both, a stand alone text AND an ABSTRACT logo. Final images should have the logo above the text (each should be able to be used together or separate so the logo and text MUST be unique and identifiable). The reason for this is that some promo/marketing/clothing items will have just the logo, some will have just the text, and some will have both.
  - Communicate pool, Miami, water, party, ocean, artsy, epic and/or beach.
  - Look GREAT in plain black , white or shades of grey
  - Incorporate blue or teal in the colored version (a mixture of blue/grey or blue/white would be ideal, but honestly, as long as the colors used communicate the words above it doesn't really matter to us )
  - Incorporates our company logo into the design (attached RRLogo.eps file). This is not an absolute necessity, but I put it above "Nice to Have" because any designer who can incorporate it successfully will score highly.
  - ARE CREATIVE and DETAILED!

Nice to have

• Things we like:
  - We like brush strokes/logos that look painted a lot (Thus why we want abstract!). Maybe use a logo that looks painted/is abstract and a text that is clean or vice versa. Not sure how an abstract/painted logo and text would look but if thats what you as a designer feel looks right, go right ahead!
  - Like the "Days of Thunder" movie logo, except for the fact that it looks slightly dated. Like that fact that the text looks painted.
  - One of my partners had the idea of using sunglasses with some sort of reflection (abstract/painted if possible) as the logo. Not necessary, just an idea.
  - We like anchors, water, paint splashes, brush strokes, palms, etc...
