BUSINESS CAPABILITY T-SHIRT DESIGN
T-shirt Design Brief
Create a professional, distinctive T-shirt design that visually represents the broad range of engineering and manufacturing capabilities offered by our business.
The design should communicate precision, technical expertise, engineering, manufacturing and practical problem-solving while still looking modern and interesting enough to wear as a quality everyday T-shirt.

Requirements
Must have
- MUST HAVES keep original centre logo that we currrently use. Each business capability tab/circle must have its own border design that relates directly to the subject. The borders should be visually interesting and technically relevant to each capability. All capability circles/tabs must be evenly spaced and balanced around the central business logo, creating a clean, symmetrical overall composition. The entire background behind the capability circles must have a technical blueprint / CAD drawing appearance, including engineering drawing lines, dimensions, construction geometry and a professional blueprint-style border with a title block. The technical drawings within the blueprint background should relate to the individual capability subjects. These should not be random drawings — they should represent components, tools, equipment or concepts associated with each specific capability. The individual capability circles should visually merge toward the centre logo, using technical lines, circuitry, drawing geometry or other connecting elements so the entire design feels like one integrated engineering system, rather than a collection of separate circles. FABRICATION The fabrication capability must feature a realistic welder using an actual TIG welding torch, clearly showing the TIG/GTAW process. The imagery should look like genuine fabrication work rather than a generic welding illustration. 3D SCANNING Remove the tripod from the 3D scanning imagery. Show the scanner being used as a handheld 3D scanner, preferably with the operator holding the scanner while scanning a component. The imagery should clearly communicate modern handheld 3D scanning technology. MECHANICAL / ENGINEERING Add more interesting mechanical engineering imagery to the Mechanical/Engineering capability. Include items such as precision shafts, bearings, gears, clevises, machined components or other engineered mechanical parts. The imagery should communicate precision mechanical engineering and component manufacture. MEASUREMENT Remove the ruler from the design. Replace it with vernier calipers as the primary measurement tool. The measurement imagery should communicate precision inspection and engineering measurement. CAD Change the capability title to simply “CAD” rather than “CAD Design”. Make the CAD imagery more interesting and technically impressive. Use a detailed engineering component or complex mechanical part shown in a professional CAD environment. The CAD imagery should look like genuine engineering design work rather than a basic computer drawing. CNC MACHINING Remove the current generic measuring tools from the CNC machining imagery. Reference the machine specifically back to a HAAS VF3 CNC mill. The imagery should clearly show a HAAS VF3 machining centre producing a precision component. Where possible, include recognisable HAAS/VF3 features without making the image look like an advertisement. ELECTRICAL Make the Electrical capability less computer-chip/computer related. The primary theme should be PCB and electrical wiring technology. Ideally, the graphic should visually morph from a CAD electrical schematic → PCB tracks/components → electrical wires and harnesses → a connector/plug at the end. This should create a clear visual progression from electrical design through to a physical finished electrical system. SOLUTIONS The Solutions capability needs to be made much more interesting and visually engaging. It should communicate problem solving, innovation, design thinking and turning an idea into a practical manufactured solution. Avoid a basic lightbulb or generic “ideas” graphic. Consider using an interesting combination of engineering components, technical drawings, problem-solving symbols, design iterations or a concept transforming into a finished component. The Solutions graphic should feel like the creative/innovation hub of the entire design. OVERALL DESIGN The final artwork must look like a professional engineering/manufacturing blueprint, not a generic corporate T-shirt. Every capability should have its own identity while still being visually connected to the central logo. The design should contain real engineering detail, technical drawings and relevant machinery/components. The overall result should communicate that the business can take a project from concept and CAD, through engineering and manufacturing, to a completed practical solution. The design needs to remain clean enough to work effectively as a T-shirt print, while retaining enough technical detail to make people want to look closer.
Nice to have
- i like the blue print look. it needs to work in monotone colours for white on a black shirt or black on a white shirt etc
