About Penington Institute: Penington Institute is an independent non-profit public health organization. We produce Australia’s Annual Overdose Report, which translates verified national mortality data into actionable insights for policymakers, journalists, healthcare workers, and the general public.
Project Goal: We need a suite of high-impact, clean, and authoritative infographics and data visualisations created for Australia’s Annual Overdose Report 2026.
What We Are Providing:
Full Dataset (.xlsx): Complete Excel file containing all 2026 report data.
Data & Chart Guidance Doc (.docx): A summary document detailing each dataset, the core takeaway, and our initial recommendations for chart types (e.g., line graphs, horizontal bar charts, donut charts, metric tiles).
Penington Institute Brand Book (.pdf): Complete brand guidelines covering fonts, colors, line weights, and imagery. These guidelines and in particular colours should be used across the infographics.

Designer Input & Creative Freedom: While we have provided a guide suggesting specific chart types for each dataset, we are not data visualisation experts - you are! We are very open to your creative ideas, structural suggestions, and design expertise. If you identify a clearer, more engaging, or visually compelling way to illustrate a specific dataset, we welcome your input.
Required Deliverables:
Master Report Infographics: High-resolution, print/PDF-ready A4 vector graphics for the formal report publication (Delivered as vector AI/EPS and high-res PDF/PNG).
Web Assets: Web-optimized PNG/SVG files with transparent or brand backgrounds.
Social Media Adaptations: 1:1 (Square) and 4:5 / 9:16 (Vertical) graphic cards for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
Updates
Deadline was too tight - have extended it to ensure the designers have enough time to do the job.
