District 800m. Organization that connects the best 800m athletes in the high school athletes
Logo Design Brief
I started a non profit called District 800m that connects pro 800m athletes to high level high school athletes. I want it to have a pro sports team feel. I coach a pro track team called Under Armour Baltimore 800m and we used to be known as District Track Club. That is how the name came together.
DISTRICT 800m
Overview
District 800m is building a national development program that connects elite 800m athletes with the next generation through shared training environments, racing experiences, and genuine interaction.
We operate at the intersection of high performance and real impact, developing athletes not just for results on the track, but as leaders in their communities.
The Program
6 professional 800m athletes training at a world-class level
6 high school athletes(3 boys, 3 girls) selected into a year-long development program
4 experiences:
Fall Training Camp(Led by pro athletes, coaches, and select NCAA athletes)
Winter Training Camp(Led by pro athletes, coaches, and select NCAA athletes)
Spring Racing Trip (Example: Mt. SAC or Arcadia, our athletes connect with them while out at altitude camp)
Summer Racing Trip (Example: IMG National Meet or meet we organize, our athletes race with them at the same meet)
Each athlete is immersed in a high-performance environment while building relationships with elite athletes and learning how to operate at the highest level of the sport.
Community Impact
The program includes a Scholarship, awarded annually based on:
Leadership
Academic improvement
Community service
Our goal is to use elite sport as a vehicle to develop disciplined, accountable, and community-driven individuals. This gives athletes a true incentive to act as leaders in their communities.
Why It’s Different
Pros and developing athletes exist in the same environment, not as coaches, but as part of the experience
Small group (6 athletes) allows for real impact and storytelling
Integrated model: training + racing + education + community
Scalable concept(different event groups, pro teams, or sport disciplines)
Built specifically around the 800m, one of the most demanding and complete events in sport (speed + endurance)
