RISUS DENTAL STUDIO- Logo
1. Project Overview
Design an elevated, modern, luxurious, and approachable logo for Risus Dental Studio, a boutique dental practice in Miami, FL.
Risus Dental Studio redefines dentistry as a creative, comfortable, spa-like wellness experience where clinical excellence meets design, hospitality, and human connection.
The identity must feel more like a high-end design studio, boutique hotel, or wellness brand than a traditional dental office.
The brand is professional, clean, and approachable, with a subtle sense of luxury (not overly clinical or corporate). I’d like a logo that is timeless and works well on signage, print, social media, and digital platforms. Open to creative typography and iconography. Also open to monograms forming a smile and Art gallery-style wordmark. Need Primary logo, Secondary logo, icon and submark logo (see below). Attached is what I was able to create. No need to follow it, but ideas. Make emphasis on RISUS; Dental Studio comes secondary to the name. The brand is by Dr. David Gonzalez (see attached examples).
2. Name Meaning (Important to Concept)
RISUS (REE-soos)
Latin noun: To laugh. To smile. The expression of joy made visible.
Derived from ridēre — “to laugh.”
The brand is about human expression, confidence, and emotional transformation, not medical imagery.
Risus is:
✔ A boutique dental studio (not corporate dentistry)
✔ Design-forward and intentional
✔ Warm, welcoming, and inclusive
✔ Modern Miami sophistication without flashiness
✔ Artistic yet clinically credible
✔ Luxurious but emotionally approachable
3.Color Palette
The office uses tones inspired by the physical office design:
* Warm beige / sand
* Soft brown / espresso
* Muted sage green (subtle accent, not dominant)
* Matte gold (refined accent only — never shiny)
We will like the logo to be matte gold and/or espresso but can use any of the above colors.
4. Typography Direction (Critical)
Typography should carry the identity more than any symbol.
We are looking for:
* Elegant editorial (maybe serif or refined modern sans-serif pairing)
* Custom-feeling letterforms if possible
* Balance of softness and structure
* Timelessness (no trendy fonts)
Avoid:
✘ Script fonts
✘ Rounded playful fonts
✘ Generic healthcare typography
5. Iconography Direction
If iconography is used, it must be:
* Minimal
* Abstract
* Integrated into typography or geometry
* Able to stand alone as a subtle brand mark
6. Logo System Requirements
Design a cohesive system including:
* Primary logo
* Secondary lockup
* Icon / monogram
* Submark
* Horizontal and vertical variations
All elements must feel unified and interchangeable.
