Web Design Brief

What makes your business “marketable” on a website
A. Clear positioning (above the fold)
Your homepage must instantly answer:
Who you are
What you do
Where you operate
Why you’re trusted
How to contact you today
Example headline format:
“Engineering & HVAC Solutions + Pacific Distribution Hub (NZ → Fiji & Pacific Islands)”
Under it:
3 quick trust bullets (Years, projects, response time, certifications, brands)
2 buttons: Request a Quote + Call / WhatsApp
B. Proof and credibility
To be marketable, the website needs:
Client logos (even 6–10 is powerful)
Project photos (before/after, site works, installed systems)
Case studies (3–6 detailed pages)
Testimonials (real names + company)
Certifications / compliance (if applicable)
Brands you supply (e.g., HVAC brands, battery brands, engineering lines)
C. Strong “Request Form” strategy (lead capture)
Don’t do only one form. You need:
Quick Enquiry Form (name, phone/email, message)
Request a Quote Form (project type, location, drawings upload, deadlines)
Service Call / Maintenance Form (site, urgency, issue description)
Distribution / Dealer Enquiry Form (country, product line, quantities)
Optional: Careers form (CV upload)
Each form should auto-send to your email + optional WhatsApp/SMS alerts.
2) Website structure that looks premium and sells
Pages (minimum professional set)
Home
About Us (company story, team, values, footprint NZ/Fiji/Pacific)
Services (HVAC / Engineering / Fabrication / Construction support)
Distribution (products, brands, region, supply chain capability)
Projects / Portfolio (gallery + case studies)
Request a Quote (main lead form)
Contact Us (map, WhatsApp, call, email, hours)
Extra pages that make it “big company” level
Industries (Hotels, Commercial buildings, Industrial, Residential, Government)
Maintenance Plans (service packages + response time)
Downloads (company profile PDF, capability statement, catalogues)
Blog/News (helps Google ranking)
3) Design requirements for “very attractive + professional”
Clean layout, lots of spacing, modern typography
Strong photos (your real project images are best)
Consistent colours (brand palette)
High-quality icons and service tiles
Portfolio gallery that looks like a construction/engineering firm, not a template site
Mobile-first (most customers will view on phone)
Fast load speed (compress images, proper hosting)
4) Online contact + request forms (what exactly to include)
Quote request form fields (ideal)
Full Name
Company Name
Phone (WhatsApp)
Email
Location (City/Country)
Service Type (dropdown: HVAC / Fabrication / Engineering / Distribution / Other)
Project Description
Budget Range (optional)
Deadline / Required date
Upload (drawings/photos/PDF)
Preferred contact method (Call / WhatsApp / Email)
What happens after submit (must-have)
Customer sees: “Thank you — we will contact you within X hours.”
You receive: email with all details + attachments
Optional: auto-email to customer confirming receipt
Optional: send lead into a CRM sheet (Google Sheets / HubSpot)
5) Features that make it “marketable” (not just a website)
These are high-impact:
WhatsApp click-to-chat button
Call now button on mobile
Google map + directions
SEO setup (so you appear on Google)
Google Business Profile (so you show in maps searches)
Analytics (track leads & traffic)
Portfolio and case studies (biggest trust builder)
Professional email (info@yourdomain.com)
6) What I need from you to build the complete website content (no back-and-forth)
Just send me these in one message:
Company name (exact spelling)
What countries you serve (NZ, Fiji, Pacific Islands list)
Main services (HVAC, engineering, fabrication, batteries, etc.)
Top 10 projects / clients you’re allowed to mention
Contact details: phone/WhatsApp, email, physical address
Logo + brand colours (if you have)
Any photos (projects / team / workshop / products)
If you don’t have some of these, I’ll write the site copy in a strong corporate style using what we already know, and you can adjust names/projects later.
7) Deliverables I can produce for you next (choose what you want)
Full website page copy (Home/About/Services/Projects/Contact)
Form wording + email templates (auto-replies)
Sitemap + menu structure
Capability statement text for a downloadable PDF
A modern website layout plan (sections per page)
