We are an Almshouse Charity that has provided housing for retired adults who previously worked in the local Poole Pottery and Carter Tiles industry. The charity dates back over a 100 years and supports local elderly residents who are in financial need with housing and a community. We have never had a logo or a website and we are looking to start this journey. We could include the Archway that is locally listed that was the original entrance to the property. And possibly utilise an image of old rope.
The name of the community is 'The Old Rope Walk' which comes from its ties and location near to the docks in Poole/Hamworthy. The name of the charity is the 'Municipal and Owen Carter Almshouse Charity' after Owen Carter who created the initial 10 almshouses. Now we have 43 properties.
I have included the original logos from Carter Tiles and Poole Pottery (the dolphin of poole and kiln of Carter tiles). Maybe we should use these in keeping with our history.
Updates
We received more guidance from the charity trustees on the original logo of the company that created the charity and would like to think about incorporating these instead of the archway.
