Logo Design Brief
We are launching a new parent brand called Gadget Envy, which will sit above our existing product line, including our flagship product Pilot Light. We need a logo for Gadget Envy that feels works with our PilotLight logo, while still being its own distinct identity.
PilotLight is modern, sharp, and gadget-focused — so Gadget Envy should feel like its big brother: clean, clever, techy, and premium.
What We Need Designed:
- A primary logo for Gadget Envy
-A horizontal version and a stacked/square version (if possible)
- An icon or emblem version (optional but appreciated)
Style Direction:
We want Gadget Envy to
- Feel compatible with our existing Pilot Light branding
- Have a modern tech vibe
- Look premium, simple, and confident
- Use clean typography
- Include a clever element that subtly hints at gadgets, innovation, or light/energy
- Be flexible for product packaging, social media, and website use
Colours:
Our palette is flexible, but designers may want to explore
-A punchy neon green for the word “ENVY” playing on the phrase “green with envy”
-Black
-White
- Other accent colours are welcome as long as they still feel aligned with the Pilot Light brand.
- Avoid overly complex or cartoonish designs
- Must be original artwork
Deliverables:
- Final logo files in AI, EPS, PNG, and SVG
- Colour, black, and white versions
- Brand font recommendations (optional)

Requirements
Must have
- The logo must work with existing PilotLight branding while still standing as its own identity. It needs to have a modern, clean, tech-driven and premium look, with professional, simple typography and a subtle element that hints at gadgets, innovation, or light/energy. We require a primary Gadget Envy logo along with a horizontal and (if possible) a stacked/square version, plus an optional icon or emblem. We’re open on colours, but would like to see some optional concepts using neon green for the word “ENVY” to play on “green with envy.” The design must work in black, white and full-colour variations, feel like a parent brand above PilotLight, be completely original, and be delivered in AI, EPS, PNG and SVG formats.
Nice to have
- It would be great to see optional ideas that enhance the premium tech feel of the brand, such as a minimal icon, refined use of colour accents, smart negative space, or clean product-style mockups to show how the logo performs in real use. Subtle creative touches that strengthen the brand’s sophistication are welcome.
Should not have
- The logo should not look cartoonish, cluttered, overly futuristic, or gimmicky. It shouldn’t copy or replicate the PilotLight logo too closely—both brands need to feel related but not interchangeable. Avoid using too many colours, complex gradients, or effects that would make the logo hard to reproduce at small sizes. The design shouldn’t rely on stock icons, clip art, or generic gadget symbols, and it must not use any copyrighted or non-original elements. We also want to avoid anything that feels cheap, childish, or inconsistent with a premium tech brand.
