Packaging Design Brief
Design a logo and 2 oz pomade label for Guy, a modern men’s grooming brand focused on clean, high-quality, natural ingredients. The design should establish a bold, masculine, minimalist identity that can later extend to products like shaving gel and body wash.
Key Requirements
Create a primary logo for “Guy” and a core label for the 2 oz pomade jar (screw-top).
Use a clean, modern style — masculine, confident, and approachable (think Harry’s, Cremo, American Crew).
Design for 1–2 color screen printing on solid jar colors (white, black, or navy).
Avoid gradients, foil, or embossing. Must work in black & white.
Provide: vector logo, mockup of the 2 oz jar, color palette (CMYK/RGB/HEX), and font specs.
Winning design may lead to future projects (body wash, shave gel, skincare lines).

- We want to avoid too much writing or busy designs. We want to avoid having graphics/illustrations embedded in the logo if they will cause the brand to look less classy or sophisticated. We also want the design to look simple and all-American (e.g. Abercrombie and Fitch, Old Navy, The GAP, etc). We’d like to give a Johnston & Murphy vibe that feels classy and high end.
